The media type application/xhtml+xml, conversely to text/html allows to build a composed document with, for example, a SVG namespace. The RFC 3236 describe this media type. Note that it is NOT application/xml+xhtml as sometimes inserted inside a head meta tag by Amaya. Browsers assume that .xhtml files are application/xhtml+xml. This suffix should be applied for new xhtml documents. Thanks a lot for AMAYA, that I use to build these xhtml sites: http://cll-corse.org http://corsica.bz http://levante.fr http://pecita.com http://pecita.eu An this svg site : http://pecita.fr Regards, Philippe Cochy
