Sometimes, onsgmls seems to report errors whose chars are beyond EOL.  This
causes some interesting UI effects as well as trash in the server error log.  I
have a local workaround patch for this, will commit soon; this bug report is for
future reference and to hold a test case which I'll attach in a jiffy.
