Hej,

test case ST_facets00119m seems to be invalid to me, as --02-- is no valid gMonth value (as far as I can read from the spec it should be --02).
Nevertheless the test case is marked as valid...

I think you are referring to a test in the Sun tests, test set SType, test group st_facets00119m.

Yes, the format --mm-- is bogus. It was wrongly permitted in the first publication of XSD 1.0 and was subsequently withdrawn by erratum.

I permit this format in Saxon because the error has found its way into so many books and tutorials, not to mention user-written applications, that it causes less hassle to accept it than to reject it. But it's clearly wrong. This illustrates the problems of fixing a spec by erratum.

WG agreed to fix this in same way as we fix 6901
