It's possible this one has already been reported and fixed (it feels familiar), but I couldn't find it.

In 3.4.2, third bullet

If the <complexType> source declaration has neither a <simpleType> nor a <complexContent> element as a child

should read

If the <complexType> source declaration has neither a <simpleContent> nor a <complexContent> element as a child

On 2008-10-24, the working group adopted a proposal to address this issue by
making the suggested <simpleType> to <simpleContent> change.
