The validator still forgets to send the right HTTP_ACCEPT header. see: http://www.iltar.nl/Index/
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 785 ***
Duplicating does not solve this bug: Version: 0.7.0 Opened: 2004-06-02 15:32 This is the reason why i opened another report. in 4 years still not fixed...
Opening duplicates will not fix the issue, it will just make noise, waste people's time, dilute the information. If you have new information or a patch for Bug 785, then please follow-up there. If not, and if you need a custom Accept:, see http://validator.w3.org/docs/users.html#option-accept *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 785 ***
It doesn't take four years to fix this...
Please keep as duplicate of Bug 785. This is where the discussion on that issue has been. thank you. (In reply to comment #4) > It doesn't take four years to fix this... This is open source. Patches welcome. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 785 ***

(In reply to comment #6) > Show me the source http://validator.w3.org/source/ http://validator.w3.org/docs/devel.html > and ill fix it. That would be great. Note however the discussions in Bug 785 (please follow-up THERE, not here) and note that others have tried providing a patch, without success. There is AFAICT no way to provide a complete Accept: for the validator. Nor (IMHO) is there a need to provide any. I am yet to hear a proper justification for the need for an Accept: header, beyond "it does not play well with how I serve XHTML 1.1 as text/html", which is now a non-issue.
