Structures appendix E lists the information items and properties defined in the XML Infoset spec which must be present for reliable schema-validity assessment. That list hasn't changed since XSD 1.0. But XSD 1.1 adds assertion checking and thus requires the successful construction of XDM data model instances. We need to checck to see whether the list in Appendix E needs to be revised in the light of the XDM rules. The one point I'm aware of is that XDM requires the [base URI] property; we should add it to the list, along with anything else required by XDM and not already in the list.
Discussed 17 July 2008. We need to look carefully at the list of infoset properties and determine whether the list needs to be changed. The relevant parts of XDM may have been changed in errata; that must also be checked.
