In the Update specification, it might be better to the section on Function Declarations from inside Section 5 (Extensions to Existing Expressions) to inside Section 2.2 (Extensions to the Prolog), because a function declaration is not an expression.

The Query working group discussed this bug report on 3 June 2008 and agreed to make the suggested changes.
