Define accessors for at least the basic information about schema components, so that a SCD path expression can be used to retrieve (for example) the target namespace of a component, its local name, its expanded name, and the values of at least some of its properties. Without such accessors, SCDs will have strictly limited interest even for people who work with schemas a good deal.

The WG considered this comment at the October 2007 F2F and agreed to define some basic accessors and attempt to include them in its extension story.
