Description Mel Knoyle 2007-10-19 18:55:50 UTC
Prior to 10/18/2007 site validated with ho errors. After Comcast upgrade on 10/18/2007 cannot access the validator with URL http://home.comcast.net/~lem503 or alternate URL http://lem503.home.comcast.net. This error probably exists for all Comcast personal web pages. Comcast tech says they don't know what is wrong.

Your service is outstanding, Dave.
Thanks,
Mel

There's a redirect loop - http://lem503.home.comcast.net redirects to http://home.comcast.net/~lem503 which redirects (apparently infinitely) to itself.

$ HEAD http://home.comcast.net/~lem503
301 Moved Permanently
[...]
Location: http://home.comcast.net/~lem503
[...]
Client-Warning: Redirect loop detected (max_redirect = 7)

The CVS version tries to include more meaningful info in its error message:
http://qa-dev.w3.org/wmvs/HEAD/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fhome.comcast.net%2F%7Elem503&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
