Abstract - Service Modeling Language, Version 1.1

This specification defines the Service Modeling Language, Version 1.1 (SML) used to model complex IT services and systems, including their structure, constraints, policies, and best practices. SML is based on a profile on XML Schema and Schematron.

This section describes the status of this document at the time of its
publication. Other documents may supersede this document. A list of current
W3C publications and the latest revision of this technical report can be
found in the W3C technical reports index at http://www.w3.org/TR/ .

This is the first Public Working Draft of the Service Modeling Language, 
Version 1.1 specification for review by W3C members and other
interested parties. It has been developed by the Service Modeling Language
(SML) Working Group, which is part of the Extensible Markup Language (XML)
Activity.

The features and algorithms described in the normative portion of the
document are specified in enough detail adequate for early implementation
experiments. 

Publication as a Working Draft does not imply endorsement by the W3C
Membership. This is a draft document and may be updated, replaced or
obsoleted by other documents at any time. It is inappropriate to cite this
document as other than work in progress.

Comments on this document are invited and are to be sent to the public
public-sml@w3.org mailing list (public archive).

This document was produced by a group operating under the 5 February 2004

This specification defines the interchange format for Service Modeling Language, Version 1.1 (SML) models.
Markup is defined to identify the model being interchanged, to
distinguish between model definition documents and model instance documents,
and to bind rule documents with other documents in the interchange set.

Omit the word "IT" from the proposed abstract for SML spec. Use the remaining verbiage to update the SML and IF specs
