This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
If an XHTML 1.1 file is written in ISO-8859-7, the "Þ" Greek character (xDE) causes the parser to detect a Premature End of data. The current w3c validator (0.7.4) does not have this problem.
My apologies, but this URL is where to find a sample of the bug: http://www.the-pope.com/w3cdemo.html I will keep this link active until calendar end of 2007 or this bug is fixed, whichever comes first. This bug only seems to occur when read by URL or file upload, typing the text of this file directly into the parser does not seem to have this problem. I also see that this bug report uses ISO-8859-1 and shows a Capital Thorn instead of the Greek letter.
Hi Griff, (In reply to comment #1) > http://www.the-pope.com/w3cdemo.html > I will keep this link active until calendar end of 2007 or this bug is fixed, > whichever comes first. Unfortunately this URI gives a 404 at the moment. I would like to look into this issue, but a test case would be very helpful. Thank you.

Condition appears to be fixed in recent and current versions of the validator. This bug can be closed.
