This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
From http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-validator/2006Oct/0120.html [[ Did somebody change the API for the HTTP header responses? Whereas previously an integer was returned, e.g. "6", it now appears that it returns such as "6 errors". Why was it changed? Don't provide stable- looking interfaces and then change them arbitrarily down the line! ]] Fix the templates, add mention of X-W3C-Validator-* HTTP headers in API documentation.
now fixed in CVS codebase
