Issue #34 of i18nCore comments http://www.w3.org/International/reviews/0606-its/ Although it may be useful to show that ruby content doesn't have to be Japanese, I think it would be more useful and improve the international feel of the spec, to use a Japanese example. We can provide one if needed.
