QT approved comment: In 3.3.3.1, the prose appears to allow a leading plus sign in the lexical representation of xs:decimal, but the regular expression does not. Also note: In 3.3.3.1, the sentence "The mapping from values to ·canonical representations· is given formally in ·decimalCanonicalMap·." appears redundantly. It belongs (and appears again) in 3.3.3.2.
(In reply to comment #0) > In 3.3.3.1, the prose appears to allow a leading plus sign in the lexical > representation of xs:decimal, but the regular expression does not. The RE is incorrect and should be fixed. > Also note: In 3.3.3.1, the sentence "The mapping from values to ·canonical > representations· is given formally in ·decimalCanonicalMap·." appears > redundantly. It belongs (and appears again) in 3.3.3.2. Correct. It should be removed from 3.3.3.1 .
The WG has approved the correction to the RE as proposed by the reporter; the second part of the reported bug will be dealt with separately by the WG.
The WG has directed the editors to delete the first instance of the duplicated sentence, as suggested.
Both points have been added to the status quo document. Please let us know that you agree with this resolution of your issue, by adding a comment to the issue record and changing the Status of the issue to Closed. (Or, if you do not agree with this resolution, please add a comment explaining why. If you wish to appeal the WG's decision to the Director, then also change the Status of the record to Reopened. If you wish to record your dissent, but do not wish to appeal the decision to the Director, then change the Status of the record to Closed.) If we do not hear from you in the next two weeks, we will assume you agree with the WG decision.
