Description Lorrie Cranor 2003-07-30 13:45:02 UTC
Concerns have been raised about the definitions of court , law, REMEDIES, and money
elements in 3.2.6 and 3.2.7. A website is not the consumer's attorney and its not for the
site to say where someone is allowed to file suit. It may also mislead the consumer into
thinking that other choices are not available. Can we reword these definitions to address
these concerns?

Change the definition from
Describes dispute resolution procedures that may be followed for disputes about
a services' privacy practices, or in case of protocol violation.
To:
Although there may be other ways, the service-provider offers or acknowledges
the following ways for a user to resolve disputes about the service-provider's
privacy practices or alleged protocol violations.
