In Section 8.1.10 of the Formal Semantics Candidate Recommendation the phrase 
"unique particular attribution" appears two times.  I guess what you mean is XML 
Schema's "unique particle attribution".

Yes you are right. This is a typo and will be fixed in the next version of
the document.
