Description Michael Kay 2005-11-15 18:49:21 UTC
Soren Kuula [dongfang@dongfang.dk] has pointed out on the mulberrytech xsl-list
that rule 2 in XPath section 3.2.4 (Abbreviated Syntax for steps) causes the
step attribute(x) to default to using the attribute axis, but the axis for the
step schema-attribute(x) is the child axis. This is surely an error.

Mike,
Thanks for calling this error to our attention. On Feb 1, 2006 the Query and
XSLT working groups agreed that the default axis for a step containing a
SchemaAttributeTest should be the attribute axis. This will be reflected in the
next edition of the XPath and XQuery specifications. Since you were present at
the discussion, I have marked this issue as closed.
