Remove one of them.

Which paragraph?

I don't see any paragraph about patents in http://whatwg.org/c, in fact the word "patent" doesn't appear anywhere in the spec currently.
Comment 2 Takeshi Yoshino 2013-10-21 17:33:52 UTC
I'm talking about one at W3C.

http://dev.w3.org/html5/websockets/

The paragraph starting with

> This document was produced by a group operating under the 5 February 2004 W3C Patent Policy. W3C

is duplicated.
Comment 3 Ian 'Hixie' Hickson 2013-10-21 21:05:55 UTC
Oh, you don't want to use that spec. Use this one:

   http://whatwg.org/html#network

This is fixed via https://github.com/w3c/websockets/commit/8ca812f5f28694e1c148e46062b3a74c3beb4be4
