Description Jim Melton 2005-09-25 19:01:17 UTC
We need some indirection to specify match context, defaults "Thesaurus name"
gives us a way to define a thesaurus, then specify it in the query - an
indirection. Steve Buxton proposes there are many classes of things that are
needed for context-match (stoplist, special characters, etc.) that need an
indirection. So we need an extra level of indirection - a named policy that
refers to a set of named things.

The Full-Text Task Force has agreed that this feature is not necessary in V1 of the Full-Text spec and will re-consider it in any possible future version of Full-Text.
