1. Example uses unsupported construct "same node" (and comes to wrong result for
that construct, if "same node" would be interpreted as "find me some node
satisfying..").
2. Graphics needs "professional dry cleaning" (inconsistent use of shadows,
lines are not straight, links are random, unclear that multiple images belong
together showing a single AllMatches).

The diagram showed in step 11 should be corrected as follows:
Drop the StringExclude node ("rust").

I have already modified the text to fit this.

The graphic has been modified to eliminate the right-most rectangular box
(StringExclude, queryPos:4, queryString: "rust"), its descendent circle
(pos:34), and the two connecting lines associated with them.  The drawing has
also been "prettied up" by re-balancing it after the deletion of the box and
circle and by straightening a couple of slightly offset lines.
