Description Scott Miles 2013-03-20 18:17:07 UTC
Users familiar with this explainer are looking at the Web Components specification (and Web Components polyfills) and becoming confused.

I believe what they really want is the Custom Elements specification (and matching polyfills).

Some way of making this clearer in the explainer (or renaming it) may be a good first step to dispelling FUD.

I think it would be nice if the explainer demonstrated how various specs can be used together. I will work to make it clearer.

I have tried to clarify this.

First, I pushed the links to normative documents out of the preamble and into each of the relevant sections. This should let readers drill down to spec bedrock more quickly.

This also highlights that there is no normative description of Decorators yet, which was reportedly a point of confusion.

Lastly, the document could deliver better on the promise in the introduction. I am working on this.

I believe that this is fixed but please comment and reopen if you can suggest an alternative approach.
