HTML5.0 is not feature complete as it lacks a completely conforming longdesc attribute. 

Please add it to HTML5 proper.

This request is contrary to the HTML WG decision to adopt Plan 2014, which specifically included a provision to handle ISSUE-30 longdesc via an extension specification.
