Description Frans Englich 2005-08-25 20:44:35 UTC
With the April drafts as background:

err:XPTY0006 in "XML Path Language (XPath) 2.0" is declared as "(Not currently
used.)", but "XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Functions and Operators, 2.5
fn:base-uri" reads:

"If the context item is not a node, an error is raised:[err:XPTY0006]XP"

From what I can tell, the description of the XPTY0006 error needs to be
updated.

(The review period is over and all that, but better safe than sorry.)

Cheers,
Frans

This was an error in the F&O specification. It has been corrected in a later
version (to be published soon). The correct error code is FOTY0011, "Context
item is not a node."
