Description David Marston 2005-08-22 20:24:03 UTC
Error codes are needed for
1. zero-digit being assigned to a charcter that does not represent zero
2. assigning a string longer than one character to any of the 7 properties that
are specified to be 1 character long
Both of these situations are already identified as errors.
Comment 1 Michael Kay 2005-08-22 20:55:00 UTC
I agree with you that error (1) merits a specific error code; but I'm inclined
to think that XTSE0020 serves adequately for error (2).

Comment 2 Michael Kay 2005-09-15 23:16:32 UTC
The Working Group accepted this comment, leaving the editor discretion over
allocation of error codes. Error code XTSE1295 has been allocated for the first
condition, and XTSE0020 is (re-)used for the second.

Please would you mark the bug as closed if you are satisfied with this resolution.
