Description Fred Zemke 2005-07-15 21:44:45 UTC
3.1.1 static context
Presumably the statEnv environment group is the same thing as the
static context. In that case, the use of the word "correspond", as
in "The statEnv.namespace environment corresponds to
statically known namespaces in the [XPath/XQuery] static context."
does not seem appropriate. "Perhaps better would be "designate" instead
of "correspond". If, on the other hand, the statEnv environment group is
something different from the static context, then the word "correspond"
becomes appropriate, but in that case, why describe two objects that are
functionally the same thing?

I believe this is editorial.

Now uses designates rather than corresponds to, as suggested.
