Description Fred Zemke 2005-07-15 21:36:56 UTC
3.2.2 Normalization judgment
The example [Expr]Expr is extremely unhelpful because the
symbol within the brackets and the subscript are written with the
same letters, the only difference being the font. It should be
pointed out that these two "Expr"s are not the same. Rather,
the first Expr is a nonterminal in a grammar, whereas the second
Expr is merely the name of the normalization being applied.
Giving an additional example in which the two are not spelled the
same would be good.

I believe this is editorial.

Added a sentence of clarification, and an example as suggested.
