Description David Carlisle 2005-07-15 15:42:01 UTC
FTScoreClause is defined in the EBNF in appendix B but is never referenced on
the rhs of a production.
presumably the intention was to add it to [5] SimpleForClause as done for
FLWORExpr in Xquery in the previous appendix.

David, I must offer my apologies for letting your comment sit for 11 days
without acknowledging it.

In the recent face-to-face meeting of the Full-Text Task Force, the TF resolved
to adopt a revised syntax for scoring. We expect to publish a revised public
working draft in the next 4 or 5 weeks (everybody's on vacation during August,
it seems) that will contain the new syntax. When the document is available, we
would be grateful if you would review it to determine whether it resolves your
concern. If so, please mark the bug as CLOSED; otherwise, please let us know
the reason why it does not resolve your concern.

CLOSED doesn't appear as a possibility on the form (Do you need owner permission
to close a report?), but my comment is not relevant to the new draft, which has
a different syntax, so I've marked as FIXED.

Ah, CLOSE now appears on the form, so this is now CLOSED.
