Specification: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/rendering.html Multipage: http://www.whatwg.org/C#applying-css-properties-to-webvtt-node-objects Complete: http://www.whatwg.org/c#applying-css-properties-to-webvtt-node-objects Comment: The text track cue alignment setting should map to a CSS property ('text-align') Posted from: 2001:4c28:a030:30:72f3:95ff:fe00:4501 User agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; sv) Presto/2.9.168 Version/11.51
Currently the text track cue alignment value is only used to determine the computed (text/x) position of a cue, so for instance a text position of 0 coupled with 'start' alignment (w/ appropriate size) will render the same as a text position of 50 with 'middle' alignment and a size of 100. It would seem appropriate that text track cue alignment also affect the alignment of the text in the cue - for instance as if using 'text-align'.
