Can an example for scripts of interactive works, like video games, be added?
In those, dialogue is often triggered by pressing a button near them, and
it's divided into chunks. Like person A may say X the first time, but if you
query the person again (s)he will say Y. An example of what I'm talking marked
up with an interpretation of the deprecated dialog element can be found here:

Status: Partially Accepted
Change Description: see diff given below
Rationale: I added an example of a conversation where the player has multiple options in what they say, which isn't quite the same thing, but should be similar enough. Let me know if you want an example more precisely like what you describe.
Comment 2 contributor 2011-10-14 21:38:48 UTC
Checked in as WHATWG revision r6685.
Check-in comment: Add an example of the script of a conversation in interactive fiction.

Hi there, I'm the contributor who submitted the bug report.

Thanks for the example. While it's not precisely what I asked, such situations do occur in the game script I linked. Still, if you can give me an example that's more precisely what I asked, it'd be appreciated, as I'm not that good at figuring these out for myself.

Hi there, it's me again. Looks like it's been almost exactly 6 months since my last comment. I'm here to prod for an example more precisely like what I asked once more.
