Specification: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/microdata.html Multipage: http://www.whatwg.org/C#vevent Complete: http://www.whatwg.org/c#vevent Comment: Consider dropping the vEvent microdata vocabulary Posted from: 83.218.67.122 by philipj@opera.com User agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; Edition Next; en) Presto/2.9.186 Version/12.00
As per https://plus.google.com/u/0/105458233028934590147/posts/9ZsN7z9LkT6 """I actually think it's worth filing bug against the vEvent conversion algorithm to "lobby for convergence" to the schema.org vocabulary. It's not like the Microformats community really supports microdata anyway. And then we are getting closer and closer to the schema.org oligopoly...."""
The vEvent vocabulary is intended to allow people to mark up events in an iCal-compatible format for trivial conversion to and from iCal in drag-and-drop scenarios with calendars (or similar). It's also intended to show how a vocabulary can be written.
