Description Shelley Powers 2011-06-04 17:28:11 UTC
The HTML WG page links an editor's draft of HTML5 that does not resemble the HTML5 Last Call draft. This is going to cause confusion among those who expect to be reviewing the Last Call document--not some future looking version of HTML.

If you must have both, please put a disclaimer by the link in the page to the editor draft that the document is informal and should not be used for Last Call purposes. Make sure people understand that new items appearing in this editor draft may not be in HTML5 when published.

I've added a section at the top of the page focused on Last Call. I've seeded this section based on the announcement.

The documents themselves describe their relationship to editor's drafts.

If there is more that needs to be said, feel free to REOPEN this bug. Concrete suggestions preferred.

The top section is great.

I'm still a bit concerned that people will click the HTML5 draft in the sidebar, thinking it's the same as the LC document, but hopefully their attention will be drawn to the Last Call documents and there won't be any confusion.

I'm not quite sure what the HTML5 editor's draft is since we're in a Last Call situation, but at least now, folks can easily find and access the LC document.

Thanks for providing the section.
