These examples only show date or time; when I tried a date-time example in my
own stylesheet by combining the two in Saxon, I kept getting errors. I think an
improvement would be adding an example of dateTime to the list.

Thanks for the suggestion. If you need help resolving the errors you're getting
from Saxon, please ask on the Saxon help list.

Thankyou again for the comment, the XSL WG agreed to ask the editor to add a
couple of examples for clarification, which has now been done.
