In these two tests the outermost element of the instance document has an element of type xs:ID (or a related type). I believe that in consequence of the resolution of bug 9922, these two instance documents are invalid. (The ID value identifies the parent of the containing element, which does not exist, therefore no element has this ID value and the IDREF therefore references no element.)

Intent is to add two tests analogous where the id is not on the root.
