One of the most important features that html5 is missing in lack of 'required'
attribute in select tag. While all other tags are just fine for data driven
web apps, lacking of this feature in select tag really puts us to write
'extra' code for required option, which will cause different look on different
browser. Please take it into consideration.

@required was added to <select> a while back. Please see http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/the-button-element.html#the-select-element.
