Section: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#attr-input-required

Comment:
Why multiple is left out of URL/Telephone? Text/Search do not need multiple
but URL and Telephone can really use the multiple attribute.

<input type='text'> could use it too for keywords list for example.

I reported the original. It seems I made a mistake.
Correct Section: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#attr-input-multiple

Yes, input type text can use it too for keywords/tags fields.

Status: Partially Accepted
Change Description: none yet
Rationale: This may be a good idea, but before adding this feature we should wait to see how well type=email/multiple works. If it works well, then we should consider adding it elsewhere. If it confuses people, or if implementations end up too buggy, etc, then we should abandon the idea.
Comment 4 Michael[tm] Smith 2011-08-04 05:35:45 UTC
mass-move component to LC1
Comment 5 public-rdfa-wg 2013-01-24 06:56:57 UTC
This bug was cloned to create HTML WG bug 19042.
Comment 6 Ian 'Hixie' Hickson 2013-10-01 23:30:05 UTC
<input type=email multiple> has not been a roaring success, UI wise. I'm punting on this until it's more solidly implemented with prettier and more functional UIs.
Comment 7 Ian 'Hixie' Hickson 2014-10-01 02:20:23 UTC
Given the continued lack of success with type=email multiple, I'm punting on this. If an implementor decides they want to take a crack at it, please don't hesitate to reopen this bug or file a new one.
