Description RD 2010-08-06 17:33:49 UTC
When editing in Amaya, the screen refresh is terribly slow. It means that fast text insert or delete operations, as well as cursor movements with the arrow keys are not correctly reflected on the screen.

For example, you want to delete the last words entered, so you press the backspace key and keep it pressed until your cursor is the right position.

When you release the key, the deletion continues for several more words.

The same happens with any other keyboard operation. If it is too fast, keypresses and screen updates are not synchronous, leading to many errors and frustration.

Amaya is the only program on my system with this behaviour. The OS is the latest Ubuntu (10.4 - Lucid).

Hello,
Have you noticed this behaviour for some documents only of for all the documents you edit with Amaya ?
The formatting in Amaya takes some time for large documents or documents with large tables or documents with complex css rules.
do you have a document we can test ?

Thanks
