earlier says "Except where otherwise specified, if a method with an argument
that is a floating point number type (float) is passed an Infinity or
Not-a-Number (NaN) value, a NOT_SUPPORTED_ERR exception must be raised."

Rationale: It's actually not redundant, because there's another clause that says "Except where otherwise specified, for the 2D context interface, any method call with a numeric argument whose value is infinite or a NaN value must be ignored."
