I should xref the various mentions of "ID" while I'm at it.

Change Description: see diff given below
Rationale: I've cross-referenced the word "ID" in that paragraph to its definition. Is it clear now?

Checked in as WHATWG revision r5390.
Check-in comment: xref ID. Let me know if I xreffed any that should not have been.

The question that spawned this is someone in #whatwg asking whether ID's are case-sensitive -- e.g., if <label for="foo"> is associated with something that has id="FOO". Since then, you've added the text "Except where otherwise stated, string comparisons must be performed in a case-sensitive manner", so I think this is clear enough by now. To be slightly clearer, you could change all instances of "to be the ID of X" to read "to be equal to the ID of X", but I don't think it's necessary.
