<scotto> mattk: need someone to determine if implementations would break depending on the decision we make for this issue
<scotto> jamesc: seems that there were changes to expectations in what aria-owns is supposed to do. i don't have a problem with the behavior other platforms are doing, but want to check with webkit implementors on thoughts on matching.
<scotto> jamesc: chrome seems to have changed this in the past 5 years. webkit would need to do research on what needs to be done.
<scotto> jamesc: i'll open a webkit bug to get engineers to weigh in on what to do here. this likely won't be a small project.
