Update from WCAG 3

Wilco: Not on agenda this week, will be next week.
... Next step to update instructions, waiting for a yea or nay.
... Might want to spend time testing and pushing to figure out where problems might be

<shadi> +1 to role as review & quality support

Wilco: Jeanne wanted us to write out outcomes, Wilco is hesitant to do so.
... Better to help others write testable outcomes.

<Aron> +1 to helping

shadi: will help out with aron. continue to refine approach and be more involved.
... Jeanne would like more hands but we don't have resources right now

Wilco: Not sure if they know if they (Silver) has figure out what they want for outcomes

+1 I agree

Aron: move stuff into shared resources so we can work on it.

Wilco: Need to be reminded of what was talked about

Aron: Most of the work off the call, jump on call to talk about moving forward with those issues

Wilco: Silver group not entirely set up to do that

<Wilco> https://github.com/w3c/silver/pulls

shadi: group also works in Google Docs
... GitHub not entirely useful for everyone to use. Chairs working on project in other meetings

... No action needed for first two items on spreadsheet.

<Wilco> https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/1946/files

Wilco: Closed issue 1587

Aron: updating branch and merging now

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pull/1658

Aron: issue 1658 accepted (branch updated/merged)
... hsl color value resolves issue. merging and closing PR.

trevor: thinks issue is done. removed mp4 instances.

Aron: still trying to understand

Wilco: if you're using latest version of OSX webm supported. older versions video will not play

trevor: only partially true mp4 will play

Aron: is it supported in other browsers

trevor: FF, Chrome, Edge are perfectly fine

Wilco: approved and call for review.
... make it a one week call for review, it can be merged next week.

trevor: Updated the issue

Wilco: Todd and I will work on video issues after this call
... take out atomic rules that include description track

<Wilco> https://github.com/w3c/wcag-act-rules/pull/51

Wilco: what point will we be able to upgrade? next steps?

shadi: Meeting with Shawn about next steps.
... making sure there is consistency across things

<shadi> https://w3c.github.io/wai-wcag-supporting-documents-redesign/

shadi: several design projects happening in parallel. a lot of moving parts at the same time
... small things need to be looked at for consistency later on
... more about ACT group instead of test rules

Wilco: anyone help shadi on editorial things

Aron: will help out

shadi: will get back to aron on how to help and contribute
... about page needs to be more about rules itself

<Wilco> https://github.com/w3c/wcag-act-rules/pull/51/files#diff-16979a2f28c03c825d57309e7c258bad507a2ecaf557d0487c633bc6789ec12eR151

Wilco: allowed some editorial changes to comes through with approved rules. is that okay?
... before merge should go into CFC
... footer that needs to be looked at
... Footer needs work and license is wrong
... Wants to add implementations at the bottom
... have all the definitions in the glossary and dynamically included
... add open new window to each test case
... change how script handles definitions
... need rule writing pages migrated and looking for help with that

<Wilco> https://act-rules.github.io/pages/about

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/tree/develop/pages

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/tree/develop/pages/design

Wilco: can take content and move it into docs directory, so that everything is in github

Aron: Happy to help out in this area. Will have questions.

Wilco: Is anyone else interested in helping

kathyeng: Will help out as well.

trevor: will help out also, going on vacation though.

Wilco: Kathy will you take the lead on that?

kathyeng: Sure

Wilco: Who can review typescript?

trevor: Maybe that would be better for me

Wilco: will ask trevor for a review

<shadi> https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG22/Understanding/understanding-act-rules

shadi: about page should not repeat that but the two need to link to each other

Wilco: why would they be two different pages

shadi: understanding docs from wcag link to it or stays as wcag docs and we link to it.

Wilco: prefer to have it in our resources
... easy for us to maintain

kathyeng: coordinate follow-up meeting for wilco, aron, kathy
