CAPTCHA draft - issues #16 and #26.

<janina> https://privacypass.github.io

<janina> There captcha service is:

<janina> hcaptcha.com

Janina will respond to #26 noting that a second wide review draft is expected, as sufficient comments have been received justifying changes.

Janina notes that the technique doesn't eliminate the need for CAPTCHA, but reduces its incidence significantly for users.

Janina notes a need to emphasize more clearly in the CAPTCHA document that completing the Turing test is not a form of authentication; authentication and satisfying a Turing test are separate matters, as scripts - including malicious ones - can authenticate.

Janina notes that Turing tests are becoming increasingly important in order to minimize malicious activity from authenticated users - including bots that authenticate.

Janina: this issue also raises a further question for wide review.

Actions: Janina will respond to issue #26 as already described - inviting furhter input and promising opportunities to review an editor's draft. Jason will review the paper on matters of terminology and report findings to assist Janina with writing changes.

We will review issue #16 for additional details that should be included in the draft.

CAPTCHA draft - other issues/updates.

Janina: there is a need for another editorial review of the draft. Some of the discussion of WCAG could be stated more clearly and elegantly. We're agreed on substance.

Michael will take care of punctuation and grammar closer to completion of the doucment.

Web Games workshop and accessibility.

Janina notes an APA action on the Web Games workshop.

Janina suggests formalizing the APA action (in GitHub or elsehwere) so there is something to which those who are interested can refer.

Janina: we should make it clear that RQTF is available if research issues emerge in connection with Web Games. This could be noted in any position paper regarding accessibility prepared for the workshop.

Janina also notes game-based CAPTCHA, and that any position paper may be an appropriate reference in a revised CAPTCHA draft.

Janina notes that the position paper will be discussed in APA, and reiterates the need to track the issue formally.

Janina and Jason will ensure that work on the position paper within APA is appropriately reported to RQTF; Jason will place any emergent research questions regarding Web games on the RQTF agenda.

XR accessibility - application of FAST guidance.

<Chris> have to drop off the call - on to the next meeting.

Janina notes recent published material on XR and will report if it proves useful.
