AccName: Test coverage and expected results

<joanie> https://whatsock.github.io/w3c-alternative-text-computation/Autogenerated%20AccName%201.1%20Testable%20Statements%20-%20W3C/index.html

Joanie: I am going to post some link that will help to describe

: the work is in progress

: the link that I have there gives a list of all test cases.

for each of the test case, i'd like to see what Bryan test says

: there are some case where I am positive that our results are fine

<joanie> https://github.com/WhatSock/w3c-alternative-text-computation/issues/6

: there are other places where I have no idea and have to go through the algorithm

:hopefully something is there in algorithm to reset

Bryan: which version are you looking?

Joanie: I am looking at the link that Brayn has provided

Byan: just to kind of give you heads up, I am going through all the test cases to check the discrepancies

<joanie> https://www.w3.org/wiki/AccName_1.1_Testable_Statements

<joanie> https://whatsock.github.io/w3c-alternative-text-computation/Autogenerated%20AccName%201.1%20Testable%20Statements%20-%20W3C/Name%20test%20case%20543.html

Joanie: Brayn fixed the issue

Bryan: I am still working on this

Joanie: would you be able to make all your changes within a week?

Bryan: When you have title and aria-decsribed by, aria decsribed-by take the precedence

Joanie: I am going to look at the algorithm and try to find out the issue and then Brayn can work on triage

Bryan: make sense

Joanie: right now its lot easier to work on one point of contact. to give it immidiate goal, we have take accname out of the door. they might be important for 1.2 and not 1.1

AccName: What spec changes are needed, and when?

Joanie: Thank you Mat for volunteering

MK: my plan is to work on it next tuesday and wednesday

Joanie: we have discrepancies because of some communication. we got take accName out of 1.1.
... thank you Bryan for all your help.

MK: I'd do the triage. If the goals is to take accName out of the door, then we need to discuss

Joanie: we need to talk about this issue.

MK: its not actually clear to me what the pass on criteria?
... this team is in one of those situation where the success criterion took two years

Joanie: we probably analyze the number

MK: Its imaginable that you can keep coming with more n more tasks. How do you classify the potential moving targets

MC: we should get into too much trouble to decide on tasks

MK: thats grest

Joanie: anything else?

AccName: Testable statements and testing

<joanie> https://www.w3.org/wiki/AccName_1.1_Testable_Statements

Joanie: I ahve already talked about it. we need to potentially make some changes in Brayn tool. we need to test for accName. where are they exposing? I am on top of that. Thats my main focus. I have done some testing.

MK: I have done some testing and tried 3 different computers and browsers.

Joanie: It used to work but not any more.

MK: Last time I ran the test on my computer. I have got it installed locally in 3 different computer. never worked

Joanie: I dont have environment like MK but I will try to setup something if I can figure out something and will let you know if it works

: there is essentially one server. if you try to run it on w3c server, i may take long time

MC: have you checked your browser console. sometime, it can help to narrow it down and help you to understand where the problem is.
... i dont know how to use the test framework so cant provide you any support on this

MK: we can give H results if you want

Joanie: would love to have results

: that would be super awesome.

chrome canary results would be great if you could provide

MK: I can try that

Joanie: is in italy tomorrow

MC: I got the details in console

Joanie: anythign else on this topis or any other topic
