jasonjgw: There will be some discussion of RQTF activities at CSUN.
... Suggest first focus is CAPTCHA, if we could prepare an initial commentary on current research for review?

Judy B has a presentation on accessibility research at CSUN. RQTF can contribute to this. Presentation may help to stimulate interest in RQTF activity.

jasonjgw: producing a short written review of research topic will be a high-impact deliverable for this TF

faezeh: what kind of timescale should the TF work to in order to produce deliverables?

jasonjgw: not yet clear. Likely to be different depending on nature and definition of research question and area of study, and type of analysis to be carried out.

MichaelC: should be a bias towards shorter projects—RQTF is expected to be agile, quick turnaround of projects. Focus on reviewing research, rather than doing research.

jasonjgw: once we produce a written report, there will be dialog with APA or whichever WG that commissioned the research question

Literature survey and reading logistics

have had some volunteering for papers. jasonjgw has also read a few papers but hasn't made notes. Also some additional references to add.

currently our list of Authentication resources include some on CAPTCHA. Need to consolidate the list.

also some may be less relevant to accessibility, so are lower priority for this review activity. Agreed that individual TF members use their judgment to decide which references to follow.

jasonjgw: aim to read some papers by next week's meeting, ready to discuss implications

agreed to create a wiki page to record paper titles and reviewer names, and then to add notes on each paper

jasonjgw will create the wiki page; all to add details of papers they volunteer to review

Other issues

jasonjgw: be mindful when reviewing papers of relevance to W3C activity

sloandr: Update from Silver TF. Survey of reviewers gathering information on type of input that researchers can offer (e.g. share past research/data, supervise student projects). TF is currently reviewing responses in order to plan work.
