deborah, a bunch of changes made, from Nov 6

scribe: , I did some word smithing of introduction, please everyone read this section over.
... , we decided page # - mia will do some work.
... , tzviya she should talk to Dave C. and coordinate with CSS
... , next is drop caps which I was to take on. What do we think needs to happen.. no action we just want others to be aware. Otherwise we should do xyz. so I rephrased this section. the css is supported. (I used the website "canIUse" didn't test with a screen reader.
... , notes was next which I haven't wordsmithed but looks complete to look at ARIA
... , positional location of text.. Mia to work on. More work is needed and all use cases may not be handled by css.
... , phonetic spelling is messy: what do we really want to see. I don't think we assinged that to anyone.

Tzviya: I think we were alright with the wording..so no work needed.

Deborah, deeply nested heading levels. I think we were ok with what it said.

Tzviya: yes

Deborah, list-heads I rephrased. Either we need to say aria-labeledby to be exposed to others than AT or we need something that aria-labelby does but is not ARIA… There is a problem we don't have this feature. I have turned on VO in order to skip past a long table.

Tzviya, labelled by over rides the symantics

scribe: , hard to change HTML now.

George, should we be saying what not to do? ie. don't mark this as a structural heading.

Tzviya, no sometimes you need it.

Deborah, semantically list heads we are so close but we don't have it.

scribe: , skipability, SR have it, but needed for sighted users, we think looks good.
... , escapability, could be merged but that looks ok..keep separate
... , essesments moved to appendix.
... , charles to look into with Mark H.

charles, Mark is busy now but will have some time to soon to look at this and work on it with Charles.

Tzviya, diagrammar looks pretty good and George/charles can complete so no need to wait on Mark.

George, This note is very important in relation to the 508 refresh.

Deborah, what is the current status is? I heard it was delayed again.

George, I have been asked to come to a meeting in Jan. and I am under NDA, but low vision issues are a concern.

Deborah, I am a Dragon Speaks AT , not anything with LowVision.

scribe: , Charles will touch base with Mark on the assessments which will be on an appendix
... , I moved Diagrammar to the appendix.

George, do I need to add any words to it?

Deborah, Charles did this already but you can see.

George, if diagrammer is only used for images then others will say why don't use longdesc.. so we need to make it clear it doesn't apply just to images

Deborah, what we want to W3C to know about Diagrammer

George, you can put me down to take that on.

Deborah, layouts on comprehension… Just needs word smithing.

scribe: Tzviya WAI Ed & Outreachwork (not sure what about)
... , Mialooking at page #s layout text

Deborah, we only have 2 more meetings this year.

George, 21 dec there is a Steering call, then there is the 508 Refresh which we should have this note complete.

Deborah, we could get Ivan to look at this and ignore the sections in progress so we could try to get this in a semi stable state by the time George goes to the 508 refresh meeting in Jan…

scribe: but Ivan may not want us to tell anyone about this.
... We need to defer to Ivan.

George, we are preparing to get it out as a draft but feeling optimistic.
