TPAC 2015

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/408

tmichel: I did make a wiki page, here's the URI:

<tmichel> https://www.w3.org/wiki/TimedText/tpac2015

tmichel: It includes the logistics, meeting place, how to register. There's a table where participants
... can give their names and details. It gives some more details about registration, fees, hotels etc.
... There's a placeholder for the agenda, currently empty.

nigel: Any agenda items already?

tmichel: We may need to discuss rechartering TTWG, as we'll be about 6 months before. This may be
... a good time to have a discussion about it.

nigel: Good point.

Action-408: [Meeting 2015-07-09] tmichel added https://www.w3.org/wiki/TimedText/tpac2015 - can close this action now.

<trackbot> Notes added to Action-408 Coordinate with nigel re: tpac wiki page.

IMSC CR2, Test Suite and Implementation Report

action-387?

<trackbot> action-387 -- Pierre-Anthony Lemieux to Collate list of potential implementors of imsc 1. -- due 2015-07-16 -- OPEN

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/387

pal: I think we can probably close this. If others express interest we can just send them the CfI.

nigel: Thierry, happy to close?

tmichel: Yes

close action-387

<trackbot> Closed action-387.

tmichel: If I've had no responses in September I'll send out a reminder.

nigel: Is this a good time to mention the Unicode liaison?

atai2: We discussed this a few times - I've also informed the EBU group about this to see if we can
... help and push this further. The more standards bodies who approach Unicode about this the better.
... It's a common interest, so I hope that we have some feedback from EBU in the next week.
... Just one question. When I went through it again, maybe you said before Pierre, is there anything
... in the pipeline to extend more the local characters?

pal: One of the reasons to have this managed by Unicode is so that the scope can be increased. It's
... limited to what it is today because it was based on an actual study of studio content that was
... available on hand. So for example Japanese may not have been available. The goal in the long run
... is to extend that list to all locales covered by CLDR.

atai2: It's a good initiative that raises awareness about this issue and that is something that can be
... used when talking to other people or standards bodies. It's a good start. It's especially useful because
... there's a study behind it.

WebVTT review feedback

tmichel: I'm not aware of any progress on this over the last week.
... The only thing is that I think Silvia said last week if anyone from here wants to help with the
... resolutions/dispositions that would be welcome, as there's just Silvia and Philip working on it
... at the moment.

TTML2 Editorial Actions

nigel: I don't think there's been any progress in these except that the ED of TTML2 now incorporates
... a few changes made a little while ago.
... One is the system model at https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/ttml/raw-file/default/ttml2/spec/ttml2.html#model
... and the other is the Requirements conformance in Appendix L.

Next week

nigel: Any volunteers to chair next week?
... By the way, I meant to say thank you to pal for chairing while I was away recently.

pal: I'm available to chair next week on the 16th.

nigel: Thank you!
... Thanks everyone [adjourns meeting]
