Steven: Summer period is closing in. So we'll need to plan when we have calls and not. I will be away from the 14th July, for three weeks.

Steven: Still no reply. I have
asked again.
... I see that Liam is still listening to this channel. Hello
Liam!
... we could move to github, though I'd rather not at this late
stage...
Erik: What is the status of the rechartering; was it tied to any other activity?
Steven: I believe it is tied to
the rechartering (if that is the right word) of the XML
activity.
... because we would be moving there.
... having agreed the timetable with Liam, we have heard
nothing since.
... Liam did say that he would organise a new phone bridge for
us on the new system replacing Zakim.

Steven: I'm talking about XForms at a Device Independence workshop next week, so if anyone has examples, I'd love to know about them.
Steven: I'm talking to a group of European CMS Experts next week about XForms.

Steven: There was one
particularly interesting paper for us, about defining
extensions to XPath
... he had tested it with lots of different XPath based
languages, including XForms
Implementation of Portable EXPath Extension
Functions
Adam Retter
Steven: Worth looking at.
... I talked to Mark Seaborne
... (nominally the chair of the xformsusers CG)
... he and I are planning a weekly call to get more activity on
the group.
... His plan for a first new post is a summary of
implementations.

Steven: I talked to one of the organisers. Hopefully there will be an XML Amsterdam late this year.

Erik: Was one of my action items
to deal with interoperability between XForms 1.1 and 2.0; so
there is a backwards compatibility mode. I added the text to
the three functions.
... I still have a series of action items
... I sent a summary of my other action items.
Steven: You have the honour of being the only one who can still edit the spec...
Erik: Are we allowed to do a spec on github, and what would the format be? Anyone else doing this?
Steven: I believe there are other
WGs using github, I don't know which. It was talked about at
the AC meeting in Paris.
... I think they are using HTML/XHTML, and just committing to
github.
... I wouldn't want to use github unless it was clear that we
weren't going to get access to the wiki.
Erik: It seems like it would be a ten-minute thing.
Steven: True, but it may be so automated and therefore hard to deshackle
Erik: Regrets for next week.
Steven: Call in two week's time.
