trackbot, start meeting

http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_RDF_Mapping_-_Potential_Strategies

ToDo list and use cases

http://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLS/ClinicalObservationsInteroperability/FHIR

<ericP> http://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLS/ClinicalObservationsInteroperability/FHIR

<Marc_Twagirumukiza> GOT IT

Eric: keeping track of FHIR work in this page
... Mapping section shows both FHIR XML and corresponding Turtle

Today's scratchpad: http://piratepad.net/hcls

<ericP> scratchpad

https://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLS/ClinicalObservationsInteroperability/FHIR

<Marc_Twagirumukiza> I support starting with the ontology (definitions and vocabs)

Tony: look first at ontology

David: Prefer to look at instance data first

Eric: I first made instance data, then figured out the implied ontology
... Want to generate this from the FHIR resource definitions.

<Claude> Are you guys sharing a screen?

claude, https://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLS/ClinicalObservationsInteroperability/FHIR

<Claude> thanks!

and now looking at http://hl7-fhir.github.io/elementdefinition.html#tabs-ElementDefinition-struc

david: This looks like a meta definition: a schema for defining resource elements.

eric: yes, and lists things that may appear in those resources.

tony: Observation.name comes from Resource.name

marc: should use what FHIR is using

<scribe> ACTION: Eric to ask Lloyd what this page means: http://hl7-fhir.github.io/elementdefinition.html#tabs-ElementDefinition-struc [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2015/03/18-hcls-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-21 - Ask lloyd what this page means: http://hl7-fhir.github.io/elementdefinition.html#tabs-elementdefinition-struc [on Eric Prud'hommeaux - due 2015-03-25].

eric: FHIR is not in the ont business, so they don't have a good way to say that two resources share some properties
... FHIR's flat hierarchy is not designed for that

<Claude> FHIR resources are specified in profiles

eric: So our ont might impose more.

<Claude> Now renamed to StructureDefinition

<Claude> StructureDefinitions contain ElementDefinitions

<Claude> These are metadata used to define both Core FHIR resources and also any extensions thereof.

<rhausam> lost my audio tempoarily

claude: re ElementDefinition, FHIR has profiles, which is a metamodel for FHIR
... This is used to define core resources and profiles, which are now called StructureDefinitions
... When i worked on a FHIR ont, I read all these files.
... I now read this files from java to generate transformations.
... The code I have for an ont works from an older version of this though.
... Code needs to be updated.

<Claude> cnanjo

eric: claude and I both grab the definitions so that if the definitions change the generated ont is still correct.

Wiki page for selecting examples: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Examples_For_Driving_FHIR_Ontology_Development

eric: back to this page: https://www.w3.org/wiki/HCLS/ClinicalObservationsInteroperability/FHIR

<Claude> http://hl7-fhir.github.io/bundle.html

<Claude> The FHIR version of Atom

eric: (talks more about Tasks on that page)
... May be able to leverage the XML Schemas in mapping back from RDF to XML to get the correct sequences.
... now look at http://piratepad.net/hcls
... line 10 (Goal data exchange) lists things required for Meaningful Use

<Claude> Folks, have to drop off for a scrum call

http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Examples_For_Driving_FHIR_Ontology_Development

<scribe> ACTION: Tony to add patient safety FHIR example to http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Examples_For_Driving_FHIR_Ontology_Development [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2015/03/18-hcls-minutes.html#action02]
