<Vlad> Guys on the IRC - are you planning to call in?

<sergeym> No, I can't

TTC support

<scribe> scribe: kuettel

<Vlad> scribenick: kuettel

Vlad: any additional agenda items?

Rod, David: no

vlad: were converging on a solution over email (for collections)

<Vlad> The current proposal for TTC support is to require encoder to analyze pair association between glyf and loca tables and reorder them before processing and compressing

<Vlad> The decoder will go through the decompression in one single pass and will restore the tables in their physical order of appearance - glyf followed by loca associated with it.

<Vlad> Once the tables are all done, the decoder can proceed with reconstructing TTC font entries checking them to make sure that glyf/loca pairs remain intact per font entry.

<Vlad> This offers a way to do a sanity check and through up a font if the table asoociations are screwed up.

<Vlad> Folks on the IRC - any comments to the above?

vlad: I could take your draft spec changes Rod and incorporate them into the spec
... with other upcoming meetings, will take a bit more time though

kuettel: recommendations for the reference implementation? e.g. wait until after spec changes

vlad: we both have a pretty clear idea of what to do, should be fine for us both to proceed

rod: sounds good, there could be some tweaks at the end

<Vlad> action vlad edit the spec to integrate the TTC support parts.

<trackbot> Created ACTION-161 - Edit the spec to integrate the ttc support parts. [on Vladimir Levantovsky - due 2015-02-11].

vlad: in regards to other topics
... working with ISO to clarify the spec deficiencies
... could start the amendment process now
... will not block the WOFF 2.0 spec
... submitting an official request via Chris

rod: how long might that take?

vlad: lengthy process, multiple steps

rod: sounds good
... updates on the Conformance Test Suite
... Khaled is whittling away at the tests
... Khaled said that he could join the W3C calls

david: great, let's have him join the next one

vlad: yes, would be good for Khaled to join, esp. looking forward
... in regards to upcoming meetings, will be able to join next meeting, but might have conflicts after that
... thank you for doing such a great job with the font collection support Rod!
