<trackbot> Meeting: HTML Weekly Teleconference

<trackbot> Date: 22 January 2015

<paulc> zakim is not answering the phone

<rubys> I'm on

<paulc> MSFT VOIP will not ring Zakim's phone number.

<rubys> paulc: let me know if I should chair.

<paulc> You should start without me once you have critical mass. I will keep trying to phone in.

<paulc> If the meeting starts without me I may try on my cell phone. But I don't want to Chair if I am using my cell phone. Thanks Sam.

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/html/wg/tracker/actions/254

action-254: this is pending implementors feedback

<trackbot> Notes added to action-254 Triage and prioritise DOM bugs based on incompatible tests (+XMLDocument#load).

plh: an other strategy could be to raise bugs

robin: if we can divide the work
... boris is one of the few people who answered
... and gecko is the engine that has the fewest issues on the list
... for mozilla, it's bug related to document object in various context

<tantek> is that this email? https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html/2015Jan/0000.html

<darobin> https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=22960

<darobin> https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=19431

Robin: if we could address those bugs, that would be improvements

Paul: I just pinged travis again

Tantek: are those implementation bugs?

Robin: or spec bugs. no consensus on what to do in the spec because of lack of interop
... Anne proposed a solution but if no one is going to do the fix

Tantek: is there a place to look at?

Robin: in those 2 bugs

Tantek: I can ping Boris on this

Robin: getting interop on the document object would be useful

<rubys> I added the two bugs to action-254

Robin: other bugs are more minor

action-249?

<trackbot> action-249 -- Robin Berjon to Triage new whatwg updates, html bugs, landscape document in order to list priority content for modules -- due 2015-01-15 -- OPEN

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/html/wg/tracker/actions/249

Robin: for this one, I was going to provide an update step by step

<darobin> https://github.com/darobin/spork

Robin: first step is to build the html spec again
... while handling synchronization nicely
... the tool is not ready for prime time but it works
... this will automate a lot of the work we had to do by hand
... we should be able to publish the html spec on a regular basis
... hoping to have a fair amount of time next week
... first step is to update html 5.1
... to make the landscape document more maintainable
... it will be generate from the tool as well

action-253?

<trackbot> action-253 -- Robin Berjon to File bugs on implementors re: html json form submission -- due 2015-01-23 -- OPEN

Janina: moving forward on new features for HTML: redesigh of accesskey, traqnscript
... there is wishlist of things that might get attention
... and the Group waits for Director's decsion on longdesc

Media Task Force

Paul: continuing discussion on EME
... high 20 bugs
... some folks appealed to finalize the naming bugs
... and we did so on Tuesday morning
... we're now ready to publish heartbeats for EME and MSE
... slow progress overall

Canvas task force

Sam: stalled on testing
... need to figure out next steps
... we have implementations but we're short on tests
... Mark is busy elsewhere
