<Lisa_Seeman> adding ADD changes

<Lisa_Seeman> proffing

<Lisa_Seeman> scribe: ea

review of agenda, new items

Review main page on the wiki to re-orientate those who have missed a few calls

The wiki page is at https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/wiki/Main_Page

review of different activities

Lisa went over what the mandate was for the group - this can be extended and that is a process but W3C would rather see a tight mandate and good outcomes

At present we are working on the Gap Analysis that is split into modules... it is getting too big and bulky so now it is a separate document. Changes can be made but these need to be done on Github - html documents can be sent out to those not happy working on Github

Lisa would like to send it as a working draft to WCAG etc.

At the same time strategies and techniques are being collated

Each research group is doing this for their sections as well as issues that are related to cognitive impairment - these may be specific such as security and CAPTCHAS etc

Key links are also on the main page such as the road map and older documents. Key resolutions are also on this page so everyone can see what has been resolved in the past - these items can be brought up again but first read items that have already been discussed e.g. avoiding the term 'ICT'

Lisa is keeping links for the various reports

<Tim> how long is current mandate?

Tim Boland asked how long the mandate lasts - Lisa will send this to the list as a request

ooops sorry

Michel felt that she could offer editing help and was happy with what she saw on the pages. She will join John and Lisa on Skype on 9th Dec.

steps for editors draft including

<Lisa_Seeman> https://rawgit.com/w3c/wcag/coga-gap-analysis-2014-fpwd/coga/user-research.html

Debra, EA and Joshua still need to sort out the non-vocal and Aphasia section

EA has said the changes to non-vocal and Aphasia will be completed in the next two weeks

<Lisa_Seeman> https://rawgit.com/w3c/wcag/coga-gap-analysis-2014-fpwd/coga/user-research.html#summary-of-user-groups-and-cognitive-function

EA to also work on the Cognitive Function Table and Tags - asterisk for known issues and divide up non-vocal into non-verbal and Aphasia. Lisa suggested perhaps sending it out for comments with a disclaimer

<Lisa_Seeman> ACTION: EA to also work on the Cognitive Function Table and Tags [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2014/12/08-coga-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-71 - Also work on the cognitive function table and tags [on E.A. Draffan - due 2014-12-15].

Other groups are to be encouraged to review the Cognitive Function Table and Tags

The table is there to encourage people to think about functionality rather than taking the medical model of disabilities

Debra Ruh will look at Downs Syndrome and Neil to look at Dyscalculia and other sections

Lisa stressed this does not have to be perfect as it is a first working draft.

<Lisa_Seeman> https://rawgit.com/w3c/wcag/coga-gap-analysis-2014-fpwd/coga/user-research.html#potential-for-inclusion

Lisa went over what is proposed and was discussing whether it was a good fit in this part of the documentation

Silence

<Lisa_Seeman> debra rue agrees

<Lisa_Seeman> resolved: other known items and editorial we are ready for first working draft of user group research

issue papers

<Lisa_Seeman> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/wiki/Gap_Analysis_Issue_Papers

There have been several suggestions for issue papers such as interoperable symbols for AAC users, Neil is doing number issues etc.Lisa mentioned that other issue papers could be linked to the use cases in the gap analysis.

Lisa mentioned safety when being online as although we have security we have not looked at the privacy side of things for those who are vulnerable.

<Tony_Doran> Apologies I need to drop off.

Debra Ruh suggested that the group should be looking at the papers and perhaps in the future people would be able to take some on.

Lisa will send her draft issue paper for comments.

<Lisa_Seeman> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-cognitive-a11y-tf/2014Nov/att-0060/COGAIssuePaperVioceML.html
